Kaden DeConno

Artist Statement: I realized I was a storyteller at a young age, how retelling an old story or creating a new one can move masses through shared emotion. Photography became my way of participating in that exchange. As an events, sports, and automotive photographer, I focus on moments where intensity and passion converge. My work centers on capturing euphoric, out-of-body experiences through long-exposure techniques created in-camera. I am drawn to moments of performance and musicians mid-set, athletes in high intensity moments, drivers and machines in motion, but I also seek these same qualities in unexpected, everyday scenes on the street. Through my images, I invite viewers to feel the energy of a moment rather than simply observe it.
